LEAP Innovations, a nonprofit transforming learning by connecting education and innovation for teachers and students, recently announced it is now accepting applications for the third cohort of its Pilot Network program, an initiative that identifies, implements and evaluates personalized learning techniques and edtech products within schools. The 2016-2017 school year will involve solutions focused on literacy and math. Edtech companies selected as a part of cohort three will gain valuable insights and visibility within traditional, magnet and charter schools in Chicago. Their inaugural year (2014) launched six literacy product pilots in 15 schools, and continued strong in the second year to include eight literacy and math product pilots in 14 schools. The LEAP Pilot Network program begins with six months of professional development and design thinking training, focused on how personalized learning fits the unique needs of each school. LEAP then works with each school to identify the appropriate technologies and measure student outcomes and growth through LEAP’s unique approach to personalized learning. Learn more.
