A web-based tool that supports design thinking and maker education, Tinkercad offers three different environments in which students can design: 3D design, Codeblocks, and Circuits.
In 3D design, students create with a simple drag and drop of shapes. Recommended for grades 3-8.
With Codeblocks, students use coding to produce their own 3D models. Recommended for grades 3-12.
Circuits provides students the opportunity to learn simple electronics all the way to programming an Arduino board. Recommended for grades 5-12.
Teachers can easily moderate their students and safely onboard those under 13. Tinkercad earned a Cool Tool Award for “Best Coding, Computer Science, Engineering Solution” as part of The EdTech Awards 2019 program from EdTech Digest. Learn more.
