Back to (e)School Tactics Discussions with The Learning Counsel

No one knows for sure what will happen with the epidemic come Fall 2020, but one thing’s for sure: schools still want children to have a chance at learning. This special series of virtual events is helping attendees fine-tune plans and cover all bases. From The Learning Counsel, a leading research institute and convener of school leaders and school technology leaders headed up by industry veteran Leilani Cauthen (pictured), the series has already brought together officials on pressing areas. The first virtual discussion, Built for Instant Remote Any-Student/Any-Staff” took place June 18, 2020, followed by a June 23 “Security Cautions Now” event featuring Jason Borgen, Chief Technology Officer, Santa Cruz County Office of Education, CA; Jessica Little, Senior Director, SELPA, Santa Cruz County Office of Education, CA; Todd Dugan, Superintendent, Bunker Hill CUSD #8, IL; and Ashley Aouate, Data Security Specialist, Fresno Unified School District, CA. On Wednesday, June 24 will be the third of eight planned meetings: “Space & Time Rearrangement of Hybrid Schools” with Paul Henn, Director of Learning Services, New Ulm Public Schools, MN; Roland Rios, Director of Technology, Ft. Sam Houston ISD, TX; and more. Other panels include: “The Extracurricular Conundrum for Hybrid Schools,” “The New Partnering Prospectus to Become Hybrid Learning,” “Teachers as Social-Emotional Leaders,” “Teacher PD Logistics Now,” and finally, “Tools for Understanding the Health of Your eLearning.” For the full list with descriptions and panelists – and to register for one or more of them, visit:
