This mobile app provides personalized and interactive guidance to empower students to earn admission to college. Artis covers every part of the college admissions process including entrance exams, course selection, financial aid and scholarships.
It also provides interactive strategy and directions for writing college essays, tailored recommendations for colleges based on a student’s goals and preferences, and customized feedback on extracurricular activity involvement to ensure that students are building strong applications and developing critical life skills that admissions officers and employers covet.
Beyond guiding students to earn admission, Artis encourages students to identify and develop their passions so they can achieve fulfillment through education.
The app was created to ensure that every student has access to the resources needed to make the most of their journey to college and career. Founded by Greg Kaplan and Emir Karabeg—Greg is the author of Earning Admission: Real Strategies for Getting into Highly Selective Colleges and an independent college counselor who has worked with over 1,000 students and helped them earn admission to colleges including Harvard, Yale, UCLA, and many more. Prior to co-founding Artis, Emir launched a successful bitcoin mining company while in high school.
The app’s beta version launched in September 2019. Since then, the Artis team has closed a successful fundraise and rebuilt the application following hundreds of interviews with initial users to provide relevant features for remote learning in the COVID era. Artis relaunched in September 2020 and has grown to 5,000+ users.
