iDocCam is an app that can instantly transform a smartphone (iPhones and Android phones) into a Document Camera for capturing live instructions or physical materials and then displaying them either wirelessly or wired to a big screen for viewing.
With iDocCam, students and teachers alike can have a Document Camera in their pocket and use it for in-class or online learning. It improves the quality of visual learning in classrooms and at home by not only eliminating the need to acquire additional tools but also giving users much flexibility and convenience.
iDocCam works in two ways: (1) As a standalone app to view, adjust, take snapshots or record the live images captured by the smartphone’s camera and then cast them to an external display/projector; (2) Pair it up with the free IPEVO Visualizer software to wirelessly display the live images onto a Mac, Windows PC, or Chromebook.
When iDocCam is used in conjunction with IPEVO Visualizer software, users can utilize the available features to record videos (time-lapse/stop motion/slow motion mode included), set up live broadcasts, and so on. iDocCam is also be used with third-party video conferencing software such as Zoom, Google Meet or Skype; so teachers can use it to deliver online lessons by using the screen-sharing feature and share the live feed from iDocCam/Visualizer.
