Early Learning by World Book

Developed with experts in early childhood education, Early Learning by World Book is an interactive and playful environment designed for emergent readers. Read-aloud capabilities with easy-to-recognize icons allow children in preschool through second grade to self-navigate, learn independently, and reinforce early childhood curriculum.

More than a dozen topical content worlds of information, from dinosaurs and sea creatures to tough trucks and community helpers, serve as a child’s first interactive, visual online encyclopedia and engage these young learners with bursts of information to support microlearning.

Each content world features additional content related to the topic, including short videos, read-aloud stories, printable activities, and interactive games, including matching, true or false, and tracing games to help children learn letters and build fine motor skills.

An “Early Learning Basics” section of the site is offered for the youngest learners to teach basic educational building blocks, such as letters, numbers, counting, and classification, in one easy-to-navigate section.

In addition, Early Learning makes teaching easier for both educators and parents by providing a guided reading program of stories spread across Lexile levels, lesson plans, and curriculum correlations for easy integration into the classroom curriculum, public library programming, or learning at home. Early Learning by World Book is a Cool Tool Award Finalist (2021) for “Best Resources / Other Helpful Sites or Tools for Education” as part of The EdTech Awards from EdTech Digest. Learn more
