Pearl

Among the very first research-based education ecosystems that streamline operations, report actionable data, and improve outcomes for districts, state agencies, and organizations tutoring tomorrow’s workforce, today—that’s what this cool tool is all about. It’s called Pearl, and within Pearl’s all-in-one education ecosystem, users have access to a customizable platform backed by patent-pending technology and a community of partners from some of the most respected education organizations including the National Student Support Accelerator at Stanford University and the Annenberg Institute at Brown University.

Features of the education ecosystem include scheduling, smart-matching, document sharing, integrated 1-to-1 and small group virtual classrooms, post-session reporting, research, content, assessment and training. The ecosystem lives at the intersection of technology and teaching, allowing Pearl’s partners to utilize all its features as they start, scale and sustain tutoring programs.

The firm began in 2018 as an in-person tutoring company; founder John Failla never wavered from his dedication to nurture relationship-based learning through technology. Today, Pearl is on a mission to create equitable access to relationship-based education that is impactful, scalable and sustainable so that it can transform the future of education and secure a better, highly-skilled workforce.

From California to the Commonwealth of Virginia, Pearl anticipates delivering more than 500,000 high-impact tutoring sessions in the ’23-’24 school year for partners including Dakota Dreams, Illinois Tutoring Initiative, the NJ Tutoring Corps, On Your Mark Education, and the Virginia HBCU Urban League Partnership.
