More than just a platform for students to learn to code, CoderZ is a conduit for real-world application and learning designed with students’ and teachers’ needs in mind. Their team of pedagogical experts and educators have created an innovative solution that combines virtual coding environments with comprehensive curricula, providing students and educators with an immersive experience that transcends traditional learning methods. CoderZ’s foundation rests on the belief that coding is not just a skill, but a gateway to creativity, problem solving, and critical thinking.

CoderZ was created because its founders saw a need to broaden access to STEM. A limited allocation of financial resources translated into an unequal distribution of physical robotic devices. In traditional Robotics competitions, typically there are teams of 10-15 kids – often with only one student coding for the robot. These trends in education were prime examples of why access to CS doesn’t always translate to success in CS, and they knew they could change that.

They created an entire interdisciplinary CS experience to optimize success for teachers and students alike.Their coding platform is web-based and easily accessible through basic Chromebooks. Their platform simulates the robotics competition environment and brings exciting, gamified experiences to students of all levels. Designed for grades 3-12, they ensure students are equipped for success in the jobs of tomorrow. They spark a love for STEM and robotics for those who may not see themselves represented in STEM fields. They build confidence, resilience, and 21st Century Skills in students across the world. For these reasons and more, CoderZ is a Cool Tool Award Winner for “Best Coding, Computer Science, Engineering Solution” as part of The EdTech Awards 2024 from EdTech Digest. Learn more
