As Career and Technical Education (CTE) continues to expand nationwide, K–12 districts need clearer, faster ways to show what students are learning—and where programs can improve. iCEV’s latest platform updates do exactly that, adding built-in pretests and posttests across most objectives-aligned CTE courses.

With pretests, educators can quickly gauge students’ baseline knowledge before instruction begins, then adjust pacing or supports to meet learners where they are. Posttests at the end of the course make growth visible, helping teachers and leaders measure learning gains over time.

The real value shows up in the reports. Pre/post results are available in-app or as CSV downloads and can be filtered by teacher, course, or student for targeted analysis. The Student Scores Report summarizes performance at the student or class level, highlighting scores, growth, and test duration. The Educational Standards Report breaks results down by learning objective, making it easy to spot strengths, gaps, and priorities for reteaching.

Alongside assessment, iCEV also rolled out a refreshed global navigation and new admin tools that streamline teacher onboarding and simplify implementation—especially helpful for districts scaling CTE across multiple campuses.
