This modular accessory attaches to the Go Direct® Sensor Cart or Standard Cart within the Vernier Dynamics Cart and Track System. With the push of a button, students can investigate constant acceleration, variable mass, thrust angle, and thrust duration—no inclined track required.
Students attach up to three Cart Fans using a secure mounting system, select thrust level and duration, and press Start. Adding multiple fans increases total and directional thrust, allowing students to analyze motion under a wide range of conditions.
By changing fan orientation, students can apply opposing forces and observe their impact on motion, deepening understanding of constant acceleration, Newton’s second law, and force interactions. The result is a flexible, repeatable way to explore foundational physics concepts in real time.
