Ann-Caryn Cleveland is a professor, a documentary filmmaker and a mom. She says that the idea for Currix came like a lightening bolt—quite literally: she was trying to teach her Cinematography students about electricity and realized that since she didn’t have any visual examples, her students had a hard time grasping the concept—so she animated a video of water to present to them an analogy that would explain volts, amps and watts. Her students aced their next test, and the rest is history. Currix provides cutting-edge digital lessons to teachers everywhere. Currently, the Currix community is having an online scavenger hunt. Hundreds of educators from Spain to Jordan, Australia to Canada joined in this week for the first of a 20-week learning game. Check it out here.
