Class is software developed by Class Technologies Inc., a company founded by education software pioneer Michael Chasen (see interview). Class software adds teaching and learning tools to Zoom to make it feel like a real classroom. It helps instructors take attendance, hand out assignments, give a quiz or test, grade work, proctor exams, or talk one-on-one with a learner.
Class was designed to tackle a problem that surfaced during the emergence of the pandemic as institutions scrambled to move their instruction online. Although 2020 marked a challenging time in education, it also presented the opportunity to innovate and shape the future for our students. Class Technologies quickly built the teaching and learning tools that teachers were desperately lacking in typical online meeting software solutions. Utilizing the tools in Class, instructors can now provide a dynamic learning environment much as they would in the physical classroom.
The unique tools in Class help instructors bring the in-person classroom virtual through:
- Providing an interactive, connected learning experience by tracking feedback and focus automatically.
