ClassLink DataGuard

DataGuard is a ClassLink Roster Server upgrade that empowers schools to take control of the data they share with vendors. Instead of giving vendor partners all the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) of students and staff, users share only essential data and mask all other key fields. DataGuard helps minimize the security risks associated with data sharing because sensitive PII is always protected.

Share Responsibly. When sharing student and staff PII data with vendors, less is more. DataGuard helps schools protect student PII when sharing class rosters with vendor partners. DataGuard is best suited for rostered applications that require collecting PII data but don’t necessarily need it.

Protect Key PII Fields. Protecting Personally Identifiable Information is crucial for schools sharing roster data with vendors. DataGuard masks key PII fields, including first, last, middle, and class names, using dynamic letter scrambles. Users gain peace of mind knowing sensitive information is protected.

Minimize Risks. Sharing sensitive PII data can make a school more vulnerable to cyberattacks, especially if there’s a data breach outside the school environment. DataGuard helps minimize the risks associated with data sharing and protects schools against cyber criminals.

For these reasons and more, ClassLink DataGuard is a Cool Tool Award Winner for “Best New Product or Service” as part of The EdTech Awards 2024 from EdTech Digest. Learn more
